The water really is that colour

Before you say it, no, the photos are not filtered or photo-shopped. This is what the ocean here really looks like. The sand is so white it looks like fine sugar and water so blue it looks enhanced, this is the closest you’re ever likely to come to paradise. Sit down for dinner and you’ll be able to see fish and small reef sharks swimming below you and when on a boat you can see metres into the ocean as it is so clear.

With social media these days people enhance their life through filters but this is one place you’ll never need them. If the your someone who much prefer looking at the ocean, than being in it then the swimming pools here across this islands are equally as impressive.

Some of the best beaches in the world

Yes, really! The islands have won countless awards for having the world’s #1 best beach and that accolade goes directly to Grace Bay which is 12 miles of sweeping white-sand on the most northern shore of the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. Expect to explore the most calmest and clearest turquoise waters which is perfect for every type of water sport or simply for relaxing on. You’ll never find a beach in this part of the world which won’t leave you lost for words at every turn.

The Turks and Caicos consists of 40 different islands in total, only 8 of which are actually inhabited and their pristine beauty is thanks to the third-largest coral reef system on the planet. The reefs which surround the Turks and Caicos, protect the beaches from ocean surges and keep the coastal blue water calm and clear.

It’s not just for honeymooners

Although the Turks and Caicos Islands are very popular with honeymooners, it’s great for families and active couples too. Kids will love playing in the soft sand and spotting the many fish in the clear waters and crabs on the beach. Couple who don’t just want to lay back and soak up some rays on the pristine white beaches can enjoy plenty of activities, from yoga to cookery classes and finish the day partying into the early hours. The food is exquisite here too and you could fill up your whole time just gorging on some of the best fresh seafood in the world. Even solo travellers would find themselves kept busy with the many activities hotels always put on.

No matter who visits these islands, everyone will leave feeling like they’ve had the holiday of a lifetime.

The finest in the Caribbean for diving and snorkeling

The Turks and Caicos is home to the third largest barrier reef in the world and have some of the most spectacular dive sites. The Turks and Caicos sits on an underwater plateau which rises a mighty 10,000 feet up from the ocean floor. That means In many places, the change from shallow to deep is quite impressive and it’s not until you either dive, or fly to the skies where you can really get a sense of the vastness and sudden changes in heights. Combined with the large abundance of vibrant coral and marine life, it’s no wonder that these islands pull in so many experienced divers and also people who want to experience divers for the first time.

Good weather all year round

Yes. It’s amazingly consistent all year round and stays between 26-32 degrees on average. It may be a bit rainier in certain months, but it will never last long, leaving you with lots of sunshine to enjoy through the day. Some say the islands even have 360 days of sun per year on average, while I say it is the perfect excuse to enjoy cocktails on the beach! The busiest tourist season for Turks and Caicos is during the UK winter months from the end of November through to March which is also when most of the island’s activities and tours are based around.

Hopefully I’ve convinced you that the Turks and Caicos islands really is heaven on earth and you’re already booking your flights to experience what everybody is talking about. The incredible seafood, the stunning scenery, hotels and villas which looked like they’ve been plucked straight out of a magazine and more marine life then you could ever hope to experience.
