This October 8th will see head sommelier, Jess Kildetoft host an exclusive wine dinner in MASH’s exclusive private dining room from his prized Hanzell collection – showing off the very best of American wines

 

The Hanzell vineyards consist of 46 acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, nestled away in the sun-drenched Sonoma Valley. Recognised for its innovation and invention, the estate prides itself in matching up to the very best in the world and have been at the forefront of the wine industry for over fifty years.

The evening will kick things off with an aperitif and canapés, before tucking in to your first course; a selection of MASH’s favourite starters to share, paired with a 2008 Hanzell Chardonnay poured from a magnum that Jess has been saving for a very special occasion (this meal it seems).

Moving on to the main course, the evening will continue on an American theme with succulent Omaha Ribeye steaks, paired with a ripe 1985 Hanzell Cabernet Sauvignon and a vintage 1979 Hanzell Cabernet Sauvignon. Production of these wines stopped in 1992, so are very rare – a reason alone to book this dinner at MASH.

The meal will conclude with a Danish touch: a selection of excellent Danish farmhouse cheeses paired with a 2004 Hanzell Pinot Noir. The evening will finish off with tea, coffee, and Clear Creek Grappa.

The event is very exclusive with only 12 seats available – a must-do experience for any wine connoisseur, food lover, or perhaps even a gift for a loved one. Jess himself will be on hand to pour the wines and answer any questions throughout the evening. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat to fellow diners and foodies alike, who knows who you might meet!
