A Christmas Gift Guide for Foodies

Christmas is fast approaching, which means it’s time to start buying presents for our friends and family. Being a foodie myself, I find buying gifts for other food fanatics relatively straightforward, especially since there are so many great options out there, allowing us to purchase truly unique items that any food fanatic would love to get their hands on.

In this short Christmas gift guide, I’ve whittled down four of the coolest food-related gifts available to buy in the UK right now.

  1. Bakery delivery

This one may be the dream for any foodie, but particularly so for those that have a sweet tooth. There are many companies in the UK that send delicious cakes, baked goods and other treats right to your doorstep, without you even having to lift a finger.

One such example is Beverly Hills Bakery, which offers cupcake delivery in London and elsewhere across the UK. Their Cupcakes come beautifully wrapped in an attractive box and ribbon and can be fully-customised with names, logos or pictures, allowing you to get really creative and personal with your foodie gift!

  1. High-quality kitchen knives

If your foodie friend enjoys cooking for themselves too, rather than just eating out all the time, then their home won’t be complete without a set of high-quality kitchen knives. Chopping vegetables with cheap knives is just no good in the long-run and means they will have to keep replacing them as the knife loses its sharpness. As such, choosing a great set that is versatile, sturdy and fit for all purposes is key and will be sure to last them many, many years.

  1. Monthly subscription box

You can buy a monthly subscription box for almost anything these days, whether it be craft beer, house plants, make-up, or whatever else. That being said, there are tonnes of amazing boxes that will perfectly satisfy the foodie in your life for months on end.

Some of my top picks include; the monthly hand-selected, artisan cheese box from Pong, the fresh spice box from The Spicery, and the Steak box from Farmison & Co.

  1. A foodie tour of London

London is a city with a huge number of fantastic, world-class restaurants, which makes choosing between them a somewhat tricky task, particularly for the indecisive amongst us.

A good way to sample the best of many, is to take a foodie tour of the city, which features several different stops and gives guests the opportunity to sample a range of food and drinks from some of London’s top spots. You never know, they might even discover their new favourite restaurant and be forever grateful to you!
